[It takes him just about 15 minutes, give or take a few seconds to arrive. Although Asahi had told him not to rush, it's obvious that Hisashi had at least jogged there, though it was a short enough distance not to leave him sweaty. After all, this much is just enough to be a prelude for a warm-up, nothing more.
Of course, the problem, when Hisashi ends up outside the sports centre, is that he has no idea what Asahi looks like.
[As he's called, Asahi turns to find the voice and gives a small wave. His scruff is a little more than normal, as someone was just way too lazy to shave this morning, and it gives him that twenty-five-and-probably-jobless look, but he still smiles.]
[... Eh? He's a lot older than he expected. Oh dear.
He bows in greeting, not too deep, before he lifts the small gift bag he has quietly. He isn't quite sure if he should address him a lot more formally, but he figured being polite is a good start.]
I wasn't sure what to get you, but Merry Christmas.
[The bow takes him by surprise, and Asahi finds himself returning it, bowing a little more deeply than planned. He just plays it off with a nervous laugh.]
T-thank you. You really didn't have to get me anything, but I really appreciate it!
[The package, whenever he checks it, will contain assorted cookies. He decided to play it safe, and since most people would probably enjoy food, he figured pastries would be fine.
Though really, he's more surprised at the bow, because normally they don't do that. It catches him off-guard, especially from someone much older than him.]
It's fine. I wanted to get to know more people anyway, so this worked in my favor. I just arrived recently, so...
[Asahi doesn't waste any time in peering into the bag. Really, 'taking it home and sticking it under the tree' would be a good idea, but... he's okay with looking inside. And it just has him smiling a bit more.]
Oh, thank you! These look delicious!
[He'll refrain from sneaking one out... for now, at least.] So you're new to the city? Well, welcome and hopefully you have a good time. It's not too bad of a place. I-if you want, I can show you around some? I'd just have to run in and tell the others I'm skipping volleyball practice for the day.
Ah, I'm glad. They're one of the specialties in the store I'm working in so...
[Hopefully he likes it? He tried a piece and thought it was good, which was why he chose to buy a pack. Assorted flavors seem easier to digest too, though hopefully he likes them all.]
Oh, I don't want to trouble you. You're in the middle of practice right now, right?
[Asahi smiles a little more. He's excited for this batch.]
I can't wait. Well... I'll wait a little, but I'll probably hide them before I go home so my house-family doesn't eat them all.
[He knows his assigned brother; bringing in sweets means he'll be easily woobied into sharing. But at the question, Asahi just grins and shakes his head.]
I was running late anyway. But they're from my school back at home, so I can probably sneak out for a day.
I don't mind if you eat them now. They're for you, after all.
[How... endearing? He supposed. Of the older guy. Not that adults being into sweets is a weird thing, but he sees it more with teenage girls (or guys, especially if they came from a girl) than from anyone older.
[There's a nod.] Thanks. ...Maybe I'll sneak just one, but I really should hold off.
[Doesn't stop him from reaching in to steal one anyway.] Ah... Nah, I won't. O-or I shouldn't, I don't think. [As he munches on the cookie, he glances over his shoulder... and then turns back with a shrug.] Coach won't get mad over it if I tell him.
[Asahi nods and hurries in. He isn't in for long, but when he comes back, he's got a black track jacket on, his athletic bag draped across one shoulder and looks a little sheepish.]
[By his place? Asahi just smiles and shakes his head.] Nah, it's no big deal, it's not heavy. We're closer to the bigger part of the city over here, I don't want to make you walk too far just because of carrying a bag.
[He's carried worse (read: teammates) for longer. This isn't too bad.]
Honestly? So do I. But I started trying to remember certain street markers, it's made it easier. So what sort of things did you wanna see first? I know a lot of the food places, but... some useful things too. Like a few clothing stores, a neat cafe, a bookstore...
I suppose necessities? Hospital, Police Station and the likes.
[In case, you know, he'd need to access those at any time. He's nothing but diligent and prepared if necessary, and the unknown is always a cause for preparation.]
W-well... [There's a sheepish smile forming, and Asahi glances away.]
Y'see. The hospital is kind of. Not really a hospital. You really shouldn't go there. But, there's a clinic someone runs. So I'll take you there!
[And with that, he beckons him forward and begins to walk.] Police... There's not really a police unit but some sort of citizens crime fighting unit. They're like police? But we don't have that much crime here.

Well, time to call out then.]

Watanabe-san? Nice to meet you.

From his school...? Ah, alumni friends?]
You won't get in trouble for doing so?

It's... really no problem. I know practice tends to need longer hours, and I'm already taking up a lot of your time.
[Don't get in trouble because of him, beard-ossan.]
no subject
Nah, it's okay. It's not that bad. Just, uh. Wait here? Let me tell my coach and then I'll be right back out, okay?
no subject
[It's cold, but it's not unbearable to wait in. He's much more bundled up than necessary anyway, so going in might be too hot instead.]
no subject
Ah... sorry that took so long. But I'm free.

[So, no, he really doesn't mind waiting a bit, even as he watches him take his things. Hmm...]
Do you want to pass by your place to drop that off first?
no subject
[He's carried worse (read: teammates) for longer. This isn't too bad.]

[He hasn't explored enough anyway, so it'd be nice to see the place from an insider's(?) point of view.]
I still get lost sometimes, to be honest.
